WHO WAS PRASHAR RISHI-
Prashar was a great sage, he is very knowlegable, he wrote many texts. His father name was shakti muni and mother name was andsenti. Prashar rishi was born on the gomti river in the ashram of a distinguished sage. Prashar rishi was the grandson of vasishtha and arundhati.
- His wife was a mermaid, Who later became the wife of king shantanu of hastinapur. His wife name was satyavati.
- His son was vedvyas ji, his complexion was very dark, who was the incarnation of vishnu.
- He wrote many religious texts like- LAGUPRASHRI, HORASHATAR, DHARAMSAHINTA, VIRDAPRASHARSHRIRA, VASTUSHASTRAM, PARASHARMAHAPURAN, VISHNUPURAN, PRASHARGITA, he also wrote other religious texts.
- Prashar rishi father was eaten by the kalam sapaad demon, When sage prashar rishi came to know about this, he performed a yagya to kill the demons.
- In that yagya, demons used to come one by one and were burnt to ashes in the yagya, the lineage of such demons was dying out.
- So in such a situation pull tasya rishi came to him and requested him to stop the yagya, and principal rishi son also requested him.
- Prashar rishi stopped the yagya by offering complete oblations.
WHO WAS HIS WIFE SATYAWATI-
- Once upon a time Parashar was a sage in Dwapar yuga.

- One day he came to know that someone had killed his father.To avenge her father’s death, He went to the forest to do penance to attain Siddhi.
- His wife also lived with him.She started saying what will happen to me now.
- Do saga Ji said that I will send my sperm to you after a few years.From which you will be born a beautiful, strong and wise son.
- After a few years, Prashar Rishi ended his penance.And place your sperm on the Peepal leaf and call the crows.
- So the crow flew away with the sperm The crow found a eagle on the way.
- The eagle thought the crow had something to eat, the eagle pounced.

- That sperm fell down . There was a fish in the sea below whose sperm went into its mouth.
- That fish got pregnant. So one day the fisherman caught this fish and killed himand cut his stomach.
- As soon as he cut the belly of the fish, a beautiful girl emerged from it.
- The fisherman raised him as a girl.The same girl grew up and became Satyavati.
