Badrinath temple is full of many mysteries. Like Tapat Kund, Bhima pool, Vasundhara Waterfall, Drying up of the arm of Narasimha idol and like Brahma Gopal Chitra. It is said that before Dwapar Yuga, Lord Vishnu himself used to give darshan in this temple.As soon as Kaliyuga came, Lord Vishnu changed into an idol.

Now the question arises that how did the idol of Lord Vishnu come to the Badrinath temple?

• According to Sakanda Purana in 6th century Shankaracharya ji. So when I saw Badrinath temple, I asked people about the idol.
• People said that to save the idol, it was thrown into the Alaknanda river. Shukracharya ji meditated deeply and saw where this idol was. He saw that the idol was at the deepest level of Narada Kund. it was impossible to go there. Without thinking, Shankaracharya ji placed Shillong in the river.

• The people there got scared after seeing. Meanwhile, Shankaracharya ji brought the idol out of the river. There is no limit to the happiness of the people there.
• Those people considered it their good fortune to see Lord Vishnu. The specialty of this statue was that even after being in water for 300 years, its shine remained the same.
• That pearl was one meter long and was in the form of Shaligram. Lord Vishnu got the form of Shaligram due to the curse of Sati Vrinda. So Shankaracharya got this idol installed in the eighth century.

How far was vasundhra falls from the temple-

• Vasundhara waterfall is 4 kilometers away from the temple. According to belief that waterfall does not fall on Papiya. Pandavas had traveled to heaven Rohini in this waterfall. The water of this spring fell only on Yudhishthir. because he was considered truthful. Sahadev had given up his life at this place.

• Another thing to think about is that the temperature in Shaligram temple ranges from zero degree to 2 degree Celsius.
• And the temperature of the same hot pool is up to 54 Celsius. Does any divine power pass here.
• Now let’s move further towards Bhim Shila. It is said that when the Pandavas were traveling to heaven Rohini, they were finding it difficult to move ahead after seeing the Rudra form of the river.
• so bhim picked up a stone and placed it in the middle of the rivar and even today that stone is lying like this. Millions of devotees still pass the stone but that stone is still standing as it is. Another proof of this is that even today there is a mark of Bhima’s hand on the stone.

• And further in this temple there is a statue of a nursing woman whose arm is drying up. People say that when the arm of this statue is broken, there will be a shop tomorrow.
• There is Brahma Kapal place near Maha Badrinath temple where Pind Daan is performed. Pandavas had performed Pind Daan of their ancestors here. Because here ancestors attain salvation.
• At this place one also gets freedom from the sin of killing a Brahma.
