YOU SEE THE STORY jagannath puri-
- One day Shri Krishna was playing the flute under a tree on the bank of the river. There was a hunter named Jara roaming there. he saw something shining and thought there was a victim.
- Jara shot an arrow and it hit Shri Krishna’s feet. When Puri jagannath mandir went ahead and saw that it was Shri Krishna, he started crying and apologized to him.

- Shri Krishna said, there is no fault of yours in this, it is a rule of law. You were Bali in your previous life, I killed you by keeping you silent. According to the rules of war, no one can attack from behind. However, you broke the rules, and therefore you caused my death.
Why did Krishna drown his heart in water?
- Don’t worry, saying this, Shri Krishna left his body. Seeing them, I got a little nervous and went to Arjun. I was very sad to see Arjun but he performed the last rites of Lord Krishna as per the rituals.
- the entire body of Shri Krishna had turned into ashes. But in that pile of ashes,a heart was beating. Arjun saw that heart and put it in a piece of wood and floated it in the river.
- After a few days, that piece of wood reached Orissa and landed on the seashore.
- some tribal people lived there. They saw him polishing the wood.so a divine light was coming out of it.
- there was a chietain of those tribes.
- the chife of the tribals kept his heart in a cave and he started worshipping him by naming him NEEL MADHAV. no one else knew about it.

- There was a king named Indradyumna in Avanti, who was a great devotee of Vishnu. One day, a sage came to meet the king and told him that people worship Lord Neel Madhav in a cave in Orissa. You have to go there.
Let see the king ask to find madhav-
- the king was very happy and ordered his priest go to Orissa and asked to find lord neel Madhava.
- then the priest set out on the journey. After a long journey, the priest reached orissa. Going there he came to know about Neel Madhav’s cave. No one could go there except tribals.
- The king’s priest started searching for the cave but could not find it. At last he asked the tribal chief where Neel Madhav was. i want to visit them.
- The tribal refused him the priest. and became very disappointed and started living in the same village.
- She was the daughter of a tribal chief whose name was Lalita. The priest fell in love with his daughter. They both wanted to marry each other. So with the permission of Lalita’s father, both of them got married.
- the priest told Lalita to tell her father to let her see Neel Madhav. Lalit talked to his father. Lalita’s father said that I have a condition. that he will be taken away with a veil over his eyes.

- The priest agreed because he was the driver. He made a bag and put mustard seeds in it. The priest was taken along the path, where he dropped seeds along the way.
- At last Lalita’s father took the priest to Neel Madhav’s cave.

- removed the blindfold from his eyes and his heart became very happy after seeing such a beautiful and divine sight.
Do you know why the brahmin came to the king-
- After a few days the Brahmins went to the king. told them everything.
- A few months had passed and the Brahmin asked the king to see Neel Madhav and both of them went towards Orissa.
- Where the Brahmin had spread mustard seeds, they had become plants. They both went to the cave.
- Going there, the king saw that Neel Madhav had disappeared, so the king came back disappointed.
- After a few days, one day when the king was sleeping, Lord Vishnu appeared in his dream.

- lord Vishnu told the king that he would not appear before him in the office neel Madhava.
Do you know how jagannath ji was established-
- you go to the orissa beach of the whole city. There you will find a red tree floating. You make him three statues of the tree.
Next is here-

- King Vishnu obeyed the orders of Lord Vishnu and went to the Orissa coast. he found that red tree there.
- That tree was taken to the king’s palace with the help of the tribals. The king invited artisans from all over the country to make those statues. Those statues were not made from anything. The king got upset by this.
- Once again Lord Vishnu appeared in the king’s dream. He said that you should worship Vishwakarma, he can do this work. So he started worshiping Vishwakarma.
- After a few days, Vishwakarma came in the form of a sage and asked the king to make an idol. the king became happy. Vishwakarma ji put a condition before the king to make those idols.
- I will make idols, no one should come inside for 21 days. If anyone opens the door for 21 days, I will leave the idols in the middle and go away.
- Vishwakarma ji spent 15 days making idols. After 15 days, the sound of tools stopped coming from inside.
- The queen started worrying about this. She told the king that if anything happens to this monk, the sin will fall on our.
- The queen opened the door and saw inside that the statues were still incomplete. Those statues had no arms and legs and that monk had also disappeared.
- He was very sad to see the king. he went to the statues. he could clearly hear his heart beating. So the king realized that it was Lord Vishnu in the form of Jagannath Ji.
- So the king got these statues installed as per the rules and regulations.
These three idols are-
- LORD BALRAM, DEVI SUBHADRA AND LORD JAGANNATH.
- Today’s Jagannath is worshiped in Puri Orissa and they are considered living gods all over the world.
