Do you know how Kedarnath place where Kedarnath came to be?
- when the war between Kauravas and Pandavas ended, so Yudhishthir was made the king of Hastinapura. But after the war, Pandavas were not at peace.
- he was very sad. They saw the blood and dead bodies of there loved ones and I saw bhishma pitamah on a sheaf of arrows. He considered himself guilty of killing a Brahma.

- One day she called Shri Krishna ji and told him. free us from Brahm murder. Shri Krishna ji started saying that I cannot help you in this. He started saying that only Mahadev can help you.
- By the time Shri Krishna ji was asked about Shiva, Shri Krishna ji had already gone to Vaikuntha. Vidur ji had also left Hastinapur.
- After that Yudhishthir along with his brothers and Draupadi set out in search of Mahadev. First he went to Kashi and then he went to Guptkashi. Mahadev was not found there also.
- Mahadev was angry with Pandavas so he was hiding. The Pandavas were also not the ones to accept defeat and he went to the Himalayas.
- At last Mahadev appeared in the form of Nandi on the Himalayas. Bhima recognized him. Pandavas understood that this is Mahadev. Bhima ran and caught hold of nandi.
- lord shiva appeared and said, I am happy with you. Lord shiva said, you’re holding my torso. I will remain seated here in this form in the form of Shivalinga. So after the establishment of this Shivling, Kedarnath temple was built.

- Due to time, no one knew about this temple nor was there any way to go there.
Where was Shukracharya ji passing through?
- One day Shukracharya ji was passing through the Himalayas.

- When she saw the Kedarnath temple, she built a road to the temple. Cleaned the temple and started worshiping as per rituals. Shankaracharya himself appointed the pundits. Even today pundits come from western India to serve Kedarnath ji.
- Shankaracharya ji gave Kedarnath the first place among the five kedares. Panch Kedar Kedarnath, Tungnath, Rudranath, madeya Maheshwar, Kalpeshwar.
- Shankaracharya ji spent his last moments there and left his body at the age of 32. Even today, the Samadhi of Shankaracharya is built behind the Kedarnath temple.
Now let’s go to June 16, 2013
- That time there was such a big flood. he Mandakini river was in such spate and billions of water rushed towards kedarnath. How many people died, how many villages were washed away.
- nothing happened to the temple. Suddenly a big stone came and stopped behind the temple and the flood water divided into two parts. People call this stone bhim shila.
- According to scientists this temple is 1200 years old. The biggest things is that neither cement no sand no gravel was used in it. Yet these stones are connected to each other as if they were carved and fitted. The stones in this temple are lying at a distance of at least 30 kilometers.
- now question is arises. Who brought this stone when he had no time, no car, no train, no ship?
- according to scientists the foundation of this temple is 20 feet below and this temple did not suffer any damage due to flood.
- It is closed in winter as the temple gets covered by the ice. When the temple is closed the pundits prepare a special lamp. Pundits have not yet given proof of this. He says this is our very old tradition. Mahadev is dressed in warm clothes. The temple is sealed. The temple is opened on April.
- It is by the grace of Mahadev that this temple is built for human salvation.
