sheela devi mandir-

Tarkeshwar Mahadev temple-

history- Tarakeshwar temple is a very old temple. This temple was built in the 18th century in 1780 AD. This temple was designed by architect Vidyadhar Bhatnagar of Jaipur. Due to this, Shivalinga is considered as Samay Bhu. Nandi and Ganesh ji are also there in this temple. Let us now know about Tarakeshwar Temple.

  • Many years ago there was a forest near Jaipur. There were many palm trees in the forest.
  • Once upon a time, he saw some people passing through the forest. they heard a sweet sound. Firstly, it was a forest and secondly, people ran away from there out of fear.
  • As soon as the morning came, people went to the forest and started digging there. After digging for some time, a Shivalinga emerged from below.
  • The Shivalinga emerged from the palm forests; therefore, it was named Tarakeshwar. Subsequently, this Shivalinga was established with full rituals in 1780 AD.
  • This temple is situated in the broad road of Jaipur. People gave the responsibility of worship to Swami Vyas family. Even today the Vyas family worships Shivalinga.
